Welio is a teleconsultation platform that enables doctors and patients to connect through secure remote consultations, including video calls, real-time chat, and asynchronous medical messaging. As digital healthcare adoption grew, the client needed to upgrade their telemedicine app to improve performance, strengthen security, and streamline the overall doctor–patient workflow across mobile and web.

 

To support this transformation, TechTIQ Solutions was engaged to enhance the mobile app experience, modernize the video-call infrastructure, and optimize clinic and provider operations. The project focused on strengthening the core telehealth communication system while ensuring a reliable, scalable, and compliant healthcare mobile app solution.

What The Client Required

The client needed to enhance their teleconsultation platform with a complete healthcare workflow connecting clinics, doctors, and patients. This included doctor and clinic registration, admin approval and user management, appointment scheduling through the web, and secure remote video consultations for doctors and patients with SMS OTP verification on mobile.

They also needed real-time chat, asynchronous messaging, calendar, and provider management, secure handling of medical media, integrated e-payments, and HIPAA-aligned communication across the telehealth system, which TechTIQ Solutions was engaged to deliver.

  • The doctor registers his account and clinic information.
  • Admin approves the registration. Admin manages users.

  • Clinic operator schedules appointments for doctors and patients via a web app.
  • The doctor makes a video call to the patient via a web app. Patient registers a new account on the mobile app. OTP sent via SMS.

  • Patient sends messages (text/picture/video/voice) to the doctor anytime.

Our Technologies

To deliver a secure and reliable teleconsultation experience, the TechTIQ Solutions team implemented a robust technology stack across mobile app development, backend services, and real-time communication. Challenges

  • There will be a lot of images, videos patient push to the app everyday.
  • HIPAA compliant
  • The design of mobile require lot of customisation.
  • The !rst task is replace the Skype for Business (legacy video call service) with Twilio (new video call service)
  • The legacy system has very complex (but unnecessary) authentication by using a lot of Microsoft Azure services.
